Do I need a permit to renovate my home in Vancouver?
According to the City of Vancouver, you need permits when you add or move plumbing, electrical or gas lines, move interior walls, make structural changes, or create new spaces. Painting and replacing fixtures, cabinets and flooring generally do not need a permit. The same rules apply to condos, with strata approval on top.

How long does a renovation take?
Timelines depend on scope, permit review, strata approvals and material lead times. As a guide, most bathrooms take 3 to 5 weeks and kitchens 5 to 8 weeks once work starts. Every quote includes a written schedule so you know what happens each week.
Can you renovate a condo in a strata building?
Yes. We work within strata bylaws and renovation requirements, prepare the documents strata councils usually ask for, and plan work hours, elevator bookings and protection for common areas.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Reimagine is fully licensed and insured, registered with WorkSafeBC, and carries $5 million in commercial general liability insurance. Certificates are available on request for you or your strata.
